Gosford City Council Occasional Care Services

Our Occasional Care Centre provides age appropriate programs offering activities for children, both indoor and outdoor, with equipment and toys that are fun, stimulating and educational.

The curriculum also allows for skill development, the acquisition of knowledge and a positive attitude to learning and the environment. It is also an active curriculum with emphasis on play and activity based learning with the teacher as a strong facilitator in the process.

Our Occasional Care Centre enables parents the opportunity to do things they would otherwise find difficult to do with children i.e. play sport, attend a job interview or doctor's appointment, take up a hobby, do the shopping, work casually, or just take a well earned break by offering short casual periods of 1 hour up to 7 hours (full day).

Families are required to provide their children with their own healthy nutritionally balanced packed lunch and morning/afternoon tea. A small group of school age children are accommodated for during the school holidays.
