Community Grants and Sponsorship

Have you got the next big idea for the Central Coast? Make it happen with Central Coast Council’s Community Grants and Sponsorship funding.

Central Coast Council has a new grants and sponsorship funding program for the Coast, giving the community more opportunities to apply for funding to support their events, programs and initiatives.

There is $1.4 million in funding for community projects in the 2017-18 financial year and applications open on Monday 14 August 2017.

Below are links to information about each program.  You can also come along to a community information session or drop-in to a drop-in session for assistance with your application:

Community Drop-in Sessions – 2017-18 Grants and Sponsorship Application Assistance

  • Thursday 24 August, 1.30-3.30pm – Woy Woy Library
  • Friday 1 September, 1.00-3.00pm – The Entrance Community Centre
  • Friday 8 September, 1.00-3.00pm – Kincumber Library
  • Friday 15 September, 1.00-3.00pm – Blue Haven Community Centre

Community Partnership Grants

Aims to support local organisations to achieve the important contributions they make to the region’s social and economic well-being through a range of innovative activities that celebrate the Central Coast region’s character and diversity.

Community Development Grants

Aims to support organisations to deliver activities that foster a sense of community, build capacity within our community groups, strengthen our economic base, enhance the quality of life for local Central Coast residents and protect and enhance the natural qualities of the Central Coast.

Place Activation Grants

Are designed to support individuals, artists, community organisations and businesses to deliver activities in the following categories; place making projects, creative industry projects and social enterprise projects.

Community Support Grants

Are designed to support the community to deliver activities which require a small amount of funding and/or in-kind support.

Heritage Grants

Aim to encourage the retention, conservation and promotion of the material and social heritage within the Central Coast Local Government Area.

Chain Valley Colliery/Lake Coal Community Fund

Is a joint initiative between Lake Coal Pty Ltd and Council for not-for-profit organisations to improve community infrastructure and services in the suburbs of Summerland Point, Gwandalan, Chain Valley Bay and Mannering Park.
