The Developing and Recognising Talent (DART) program supports residents of the former Gosford City Local Government Area (LGA) to represent Gosford in sporting and cultural pursuits.
It provides assistance to eligible former Gosford City LGA residents who have been selected by a national, state or regional body to participate in a recognised sporting or cultural event.
Sponsorships provide funding for individuals or groups towards the costs associated with participating in significant sporting and cultural events.
The program also formally recognises those individuals and groups that achieve excellence in their discipline and represent our region.
The DART program aims to inspire grass-roots sporting and cultural talent through profiling and assisting representative individuals and groups.
Sporting events where applicants have been selected on a merit/qualification basis to represent their region, state or nation and can demonstrate involvement locally over the past two years.
Example: NSW State Touch Football Tournament in Port Macquarie.
Cultural events where applicants have been selected on a merit/qualification basis to represent the region, state or nation and can demonstrate involvement locally over the past two years.
Example: Australian Irish Dancing Championships in Perth.
To be eligible for funding, individuals or groups need to have resided in the former Gosford City LGA for at least two years and be able to illustrate involvement in sporting or cultural activities.
