Youth Centres

Our youth centres offer young people a safe and exciting base to interact while providing support, advocacy and referral.

All our centres offer a range of free or low cost programs.

These include such services as sporting activities, Internet cafés, art and design projects and classes, music tuition, programming and recording, live performances for bands, singers and songwriters, dance and modelling workshops, cooking classes and more.

The Hill Youth Centre

The Hill Youth Centre offers a program of activities for young people aged 12-18 years.

Just some of these activities include sporting and recreational activities, cooking, dance, art, a chill out lounge and an Internet café.

Referrals, support, advocacy and one-on-one appointments are available outside of hours by appointment.

School based workshops are available and anger management, anti-bullying, young men’s and young women’s programs can also be run in schools.

The Hill Youth Centre - Term 4 Program

 Address 98 Mitchell Drive, Kariong
Hours Tuesday to Thursday, 3.00pm to 6.00pm
Fees All youth activities are free. Programs run at the centre by outside organisations and excursions may attract a fee
Facilities available The centre is available for hire to individuals, businesses and community groups. Large hall with kitchen is suitable for large meetings / functions or sports training. Projector for presentations is also available. Meeting room, computer room and art room also available
Accessibility Ramp access, two disabled toilets, exterior Braille signs, tactiles on external ramps
Restrictions 12-18 years of age for centre based programs. Additional services available to other young people up to 24 years. Young people must become members of the centre for regular centre programs (free)
Referral details Refers young people to appropriate health, education and accommodation services as required

Kincumber Youth Centre

Kincumber Youth Centre has a program of activities for young people from 12-17 years of age, including sporting and recreational programs, cooking, dance, art, a chill out lounge and an Internet café.

Kincumber Youth Centre - Term 3 Program

 Address Off Kincumber Street, Kincumber (opposite Kincumber High School)
Hours Monday to Wednesdays, 2:30pm - 5:30pm. Fridays, 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Fees General program free of charge. Any additional charges such as excursions will be advertised
Facilities available The centre is available for hire to individuals, businesses, and community groups. Features a fully functional commercial grade kitchen. Large hall is suitable for large meetings/functions or sports training. Chill out space, projector available for presentations. Meeting room, computer room and art room also available. Recording  studio available for hire
Accessibility   Yes
Restrictions  12-17 years of age. Additional services available to other youth
Referral details Gosford City Council Youth Services refers young people to appropriate health, education, accommodation services as required. Information is confidential. Staff are Mandatory Reporters

The Hub Youth Entertainment Venue

The Hub has structured programs including: drop-in activities, dance parties, SeaFM Discovered, Film Global, Battle of the Bands, special holiday activities, information and referrals, the Gosford City Youth Council and the 'Let Me Entertain You' entertainment industry mentor program.

Facilities available  Auditorium with retractable seating to seat 250 people, additional 200 patron seating available. Full range of equipment hire: stages, data projectors, data projector screens,cinema screen, TV, DVD player, whiteboard, wireless internet access (charges apply), sound and lighting desk, tables, kitchenette. Sprung flooring. Commercial kitchen
