Gosford Foundation Trust
Gosford City Council Foundation Trust
About the Gosford Foundation Trust
The Gosford Foundation Trust was set up by Gosford City Council to encourage and facilitate benevolent acts by public spirited citizens and to manage and acknowledge donations received.
As an example, any individual, family or organisation may donate real estate to be designated for public use. Others may wish to donate art or funds for a particular project.
The Gosford Foundation Trust will ensure that funds are used for their intended purpose, eg to purchase environmentally sensitive land, and once placed in the Trust for a purpose, that purpose will not be changed.
In return for their generosity, citizens making such gifts are eligible to claim tax deductions in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act.
The trust deed defines benevolent acts as the giving to Council for the purposes set out in the schedules to the trust deed cash, personal property or real estate.
