Tour De Brisbane Water

The Tour De Brisbane is the ride for those keen on seeing the Central Coast while not over extending themselves. It begins and ends at Gosford train station and it highlights the wetlands and waterways of the lower Central Coast.

With most sections of this route providing on road and off road cycle access it provides a safe circular route around the blue Brisbane Water.

Along the way

While passing through the townships of East Gosford, Kincumber and Empire Bay Dr you may choose to stay overnight at a local B&B or visit the local Art Gallery or one of the many pubs or restaurants.

Hazards

1. Take extreme care along Avoca Drive. The road is narrow in places with no road shoulder, stay as far left as possible. This section carries fast moving traffic especially on weekends.

2. Give Way to pedestrians as you enter the shared user path at the Gosford Lions Park. This area is busy with pedestrians especially on the weekends.

3. Watch for cars exiting driveways especially along the Punt Straight prior to Russell St, East Gosford.

4. Watch for glass as you make your way along the McGown Bridge.

5. The Rip Bridge does not have a road shoulder. Use the alternate path on the southern side of the bridge.
