Environmental educational programs run by council provide information on a range of environmental and sustainability issues and initiatives that can be undertaken by anyone in the community.

Little Green Steps
Provides resources and tools to assist preschool staff to communicate environmental messages to children from three to five years of age.
The Greenhouse Program
An environmental education program for primary schools in Gosford City. The program is made up of a variety of components including projects and activities which schools and students are invited to participate in.
Each year all activities and material are based around a particular environmental theme.
Future Council

A water and environmental education website for high school students with information that links directly to the NSW Science, Geography, Agriculture and Marine Studies syllabuses. Resources include local case studies, games, and factsheets.

COSS Family Nature Club
The COSS Family Nature Clubs are groups of adults and children who enjoy nature, wildlife and our Coastal Open Space System together on a regular basis. Individuals can either form their own club or join an already established club.
