Why switch to GreenPower?
The average household is responsible for producing about seven tonnes of greenhouse gases each year from electricity use.
Switching to GreenPower is the easiest way to cut your greenhouse gas emissions and therefore reduce your contribution towards climate change.
GreenPower is electricity produced from clean renewable sources such as solar and wind, and is accredited by the NSW Government. To find out about electricity suppliers offering accredited GreenPower go to www.greenpower.nsw.gov.au.
It is possible to select renewable energy products with varying percentages of GreenPower. The cost will depend on the provider and the portion of GreenPower selected, and can range from no extra cost to $400 extra per year.
Every bit of GreenPower purchased reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but to make the biggest impact sign up to 100 percent GreenPower. Find out about GreenPower suppliers and products.
GreenPower sales have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 3.6 million tonnes since 1997. That's the same as taking 800,000 cars off our roads for a year.
