Chair yoga is a gentle exercise program that is performed in the comfort of a chair, and the use of a chair for balance and support, and it's now being offered at Gosford 50+ Leisure and Learning Centre every Tuesday.
Chair yoga increases body strength, coordination, flexibility and balance - all of which aids individuals in continuing to enjoy independence and social interactions for longer.
Teacher Nana Chresta has a background in psychotherapy, welfare and yoga, specialising in gentle yoga for seniors. Nana is registered with the Yoga Alliance.
The sessions run every Tuesday from 20 September, and cost $7 per session.
