Dating back to the early 1970’s, the annual Gosford Art Prize has grown into the Central Coast's premier art event.
This year is the sixteenth year the art prize has been held at the Gosford Regional Gallery, and includes some exciting changes. From 2015, there will no longer be artwork categories, with artists instead encouraged to enter artworks in any medium. All entries are also now eligible for a range of great prizes including; first prize, which has increased to $15,000, $5,000 for second prize, $1,000 for highly commended, $300 for the Packers Prize and The People’s Choice Award.
Due to the growing demand, this year we are also launching the Gosford Ceramics Prize, which will be held in conjunction with the Gosford Art Prize, and attract a $2,000 prize. Artists can choose to enter their work in either the Gosford Art Prize or the Gosford Ceramics Prize.
Both prizes are open to all Australian artists.
