Newspapers are available in a variety of formats from your local library branch.
Subscription Databases
Current and back copies of newspapers are available using our subscription databases on the Internet. Newspaper databases are:

This database contains full text articles from the following newspapers:

This database can be used both at home and in the library.
To access the Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre, please click on the icon below. You will need to enter your library card number in the password box. Your library card number is printed on the reverse of your card under the barcode. Please use a capital C and omit any spaces.

Factiva
Factiva provides access to all of the newspapers listed above, plus the Central Coast Express (July 2001- present) and many international papers such as the New York Times.
This database also has a "Newsstand" where you can browse the current edition of major Australian and International papers (click on News Pages to access this feature).
This database can only be used in the Library.

Microfilm
Historic editions of newspapers are available at Gosford Library, 118 Donnison St Gosford. To access these papers you will need to book a microfilm reader by phoning 4304 7500 or at the Information Desk.
- Sydney Morning Herald: 1831 - 2002
- Central Coast Express: 1952 - present year
- Gosford Times: 1897 - 1961 (substantial gaps pre-WWI and 1940s)
- Woy Woy Herald: 1969 - 1974
