Technology
Computers with the Internet are available for use in the Children's Library. It is wise to book ahead by telephone for time on the computers.

Navigating the Literature Shelves
A series of coloured card book-marks has been produced for Junior Fiction. These highlight authors of Junior Fiction books held by this library system in various theme groups, e.g. Australian authors, mystery authors, adventure authors etc. They are free, and located at each service point. The bookmarks are invaluable for locating books in the fiction collections to match the interests of the young reader.

Special activities and holiday programmes
Activity sessions, workshops, competitions and other programs for children and young adults are conducted from time to time throughout the year, and these are always advertised at the service desks of all service points. These programs normally target children and teenagers 5-18 years.

Special Activities will be advertised in the local newspapers.
