Local History Collection

Gosford City Library boasts an excellent collection of historical and current references that relate specifically to the Gosford City Council area and the Central Coast.

The collection includes books, images, oral histories, serials, pamphlets and newspapers, and is located in the Central Library in Donnison Street, Gosford. Other Libraries have a smaller Local Area collection.

These fact sheets, pamphlets and database have been put together by library staff to assist students and other interested persons to find basic local history information.

  • Gosford District guides 1900s-1960s
    These guides were published from the 1900s to 1960s to encourage tourism and commerce in the Gosford area.  They provide historic information as well as giving an interesting overview of what life was like in the area at this time. These guides are great for school projects!
