Entries are now open for the 2009 Gosford City Garden Competition.
It's time to finish trimming those hedges, weeding those flower beds and cultivating the gardener within, to see your garden power away for the judging from 15 September.
With judges from the Australian Institute of Horticulture, the competition attracts a wide range of businesses and community groups including schools, retirement villages, community centres and local industries.
Highly regarded as best practice within the industry, the competition aims to stimulate enthusiasm and interest in various types of gardening and ecologically sustainable practices, with the objective to publicly acknowledge and reward the efforts of those who enter.
In line with our region's current focus on water conservation, the 2009 Gosford City Garden Competition is themed around ecological sustainability, innovation and creativity. The event culminates with the announcements of winning entries at a gala dinner at the Gosford/Edogawa Commemorative Garden on 1 October 2009.
Entry forms are available from this website Gosford City Council's Customer Service Centres (Gosford, Erina Fair, Kincumber and Woy Woy) and Council's libraries.
