An integral part of Australia Day celebrations is the presentation of awards to honour citizens’ contributions to the community and to celebrate their achievements.
The City of Gosford has chosen to recognise the talents and achievements of its residents through the following categories:

Business Person
Community Event
Arts, Culture and Entertainment
Environment and Sustainability
Senior
Sport
Volunteer
Youth

All nominees will be considered for the Gosford City Citizen of the Year Award.

Do you know someone?

You are invited to nominate a friend, family member, community leader or colleague, for a Gosford City Australia Day Community Award.

This is your opportunity to recognise and reward someone who makes you proud to be Australian. A resident who you believe makes our city and community a better place to live in.

It is the highest civic award that a resident of Gosford City can receive at a local level.

Nominations close 5 December 2008.

How to submit your nomination

To nominate a fellow member of the community, please complete the Australia Day Community Award Nomination Form provided at this web site. Nomination forms are also available by clicking here or you can collect one at our Customer Service Centres.

Announcing the winners

The winners will be announced at our gala presentation evening on Friday 23 January 2009. All nominees are invited to attend this special event. The winners will also be invited to attend our Australia Day celebrations at Gosford Waterfront and Woy Woy Waterfront.
