Bluetongue Stadium to capture more action

17. 04. 2008 00:00

Central Coast residents will enjoy more live action from the playing field after Gosford City Council approved a $200,000 loan for the installation of a video screen at Bluetongue Stadium.

The installation of the permanent video screen aims to enhance spectator enjoyment and further improve the Central Coast's premier sports stadium.

The screen will be available for community groups and other sporting or event organisations using the stadium, according to Council's Director of City Services, Stephen Glen.

"It is Council's intention to ensure that community groups have access to the video screen at a favourable rate," said Mr. Glen.

"The five-year loan to the Central Coast Mariners does not impact on other services offered by Council as the loan will be provided from the Grahame Park sinking fund," he said.

"The sinking fund was established for the sole purpose of maintaining and improving facilities at Grahame Park."

An Agreement will be entered into between the Central Coast Mariners and Gosford City Council and will include a loan repayment schedule, the cost of hiring to other parties and community groups, maintenance and operational matters.
