Facelift for Goodaywang Foreshore
2008年04月17日 00時00分
Work on a major facelift for Goodaywang Foreshore Reserve at Point Clare begins next week.
The foreshore, located in Kurrawa Avenue, will be transformed into an attractive picnic and passive recreation site with a large grassed area, picnic settings and BBQ facilities.
The long awaited project also includes restoration of the wharf, and the installation of new park furniture and a small amenities building.
The project aims to make Goodaywang Foreshore a destination point for Gosford City residents.
The reserve will provide additional open space for Point Clare and West Gosford, with the upgrade improving significant vegetation habitats through regeneration and revegetation initiatives.
Work is expected to be completed in July this year. The $200,000 upgrade has been funded through the 2007/08 Capital Works Program and the Metropolitan Greenspace Program.
