Behind the scenes at the PLC

2009年07月21日 00時00分

The Peninsula Leisure Centre (PLC) is conducting free behind the scenes tours on Tuesday 4 August 2009 at 10am and 2pm.

Held in conjunction with Gosford City Council's Local Government Week, the PLC tours will showcase the range of services and facilities within the complex, how the centre operates, as well as the history behind this important community facility.

You can find out what the Health Club has to offer and discover the range of programs available including swimming and surfing. Or a warm spa or refreshing sauna experience is right for you?

Did you know that the PLC has a crèche and offers children's birthday party packages? Not matter what age; the PLC has something for everyone.

Simon Clarke, Council's Co-ordinator of Leisure and Lifestyle believes that the PLC offers a variety of activities.

"From swimming, indoor sport competitions, to fitness and leisure programs, they're all designed to enhance the lifestyles of our local community members.

"The tours will allow you to see that the PLC is more than a pool", added Mr Clarke.

Mayor of Gosford City, Councillor Chris Holstein has highlighted the importance of such a facility within the Local Government Area.

"The PLC is a beneficial asset provided by Council, it's there for the use and enjoyment of the community", said Clr Holstein.

The PLC is located at 243 Blackwall Road, Woy Woy. To book a tour, phone the PLC on 4325 8123.
