COSS Week 2009

27. 07. 2009 00:00

Gosford City Council will host the Coastal Open Space System (COSS) Week 2009 in September, after the success of the inaugural event last year.

COSS Week 2009 will run from 22-27 September 2009 and will involve a week of activities showcasing the values and significance of the Coastal Open Space System; a network of reserves within the Gosford Local Government Area.
It will also feature a range of activities within the COSS, including bushwalks, a guided Aboriginal heritage walk, a wilderness photography workshop, a tour of Bushcare sites, presentations on the native flora and fauna of the COSS and an astronomy evening.

The three main reserves in the COSS are Rumbalara, Katandra and Kincumba Mountain. They provide trails, picnic areas, free electric barbecues and lookouts for recreation and enjoyment.

The COSS Week 2009 brochure (PDF File, 869kb) is now available at all Gosford City Council Customer Service Centres, libraries, and tourist information offices.
