Temporary Road Closure - Racecourse Road

Gosford City Council will undertake emergency excavation work on the corner of Racecourse and Showground Road tonight to enhance the drinking water supply system.
To reduce community inconvenience, excavation will take place between 7pm this evening and 7am tomorrow morning, Tuesday 2 June. During this time, the westbound lane of Racecourse Road will be closed between Holden Street and Showground Road. Traffic diversions will be in place via Beane and Holden Street.
Water supply to residents in the surrounding area will not be interrupted as a result of the work, however drinking water quality may be impacted.
Residents are reminded to check water quality from the tap nearest the water meter before washing any laundry during this time. Should discoloured water or loss of water pressure occur, they should contact Council on 4325 8222.
