Mount Ettalong Road, Umina Beach
Gosford City Council advises that following completion of the retaining wall below Mount Ettalong Road, Umina Beach, a further stage of works will commence with reconstruction of eight culverts along Mount Ettalong Road and Patonga Drive.
These works are scheduled to commence in mid August 2010 and it is anticipated that work will be completed by mid October 2010, weather permitting.
To ensure safety for workers and the public, temporary traffic control measures and warning signage will be in place while this work is undertaken and a reduced speed limit will continue to be in force.
Traffic Controllers and/or temporary traffic lights will be on-site during construction operations to direct traffic through the worksite under Stop/Go arrangements.
Works will be organised to ensure minimal disruptions during peak hours, i.e. 7am - 9am and 2.30pm - 5pm. Consideration has also been given to the bus timetable. Emergency vehicles will be granted access at all times.
At various times of the day between 9am and 2.30pm there may be delays to traffic in both directions of up to 15 minutes, and where possible, residents may wish to avoid travel during these hours.
Council apologises for any inconvenience to residents and road users while this important work is carried out.
