Adcock Park's upgrade underway

Upgrade of the netball courts at Adcock Park, West Gosford, is underway.
Following funding from the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation's regional sports facility program, Gosford Council has removed the goal posts and floodlighting poles, with resurfacing of the courts due to begin in November.
The resurfacing work is necessary due to subsidence of the site, which was previously a tip, said Phil Moore, Manager Recreation and Natural Resources.
Floodlighting of the courts will also be upgraded to improve safety during evening competitions and training sessions and to ensure the lighting complies with Australian Standards, he said.
The Gosford Netball Association will be erecting an all-weather cover over one court that will be used for clinics, gala days and State League competition matches.
Completion of all work is scheduled before the start of next year's netball season in April.
