Citywide Planning and Reporting
In 2009 the NSW State Government (Division of Local Government) enacted new legislation with the Local Government Amendment (Planning and Reporting) Act relating to local Council’s requirements for planning and reporting. Throughout 2011/12 Gosford City Council has been transitioning to a new planning and reporting framework known as the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.

The new framework recognises that communities do not exist in isolation and replaces the former City Management Plan. It also includes a long-term Community Strategic Plan and Resourcing Strategy. Further information on the Framework is available from the Division of Local Government, NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.
In response to the Gosford 2025 Community Strategic Plan, Council has developed several key documents and processes detailing it's responsibilities and commitments to the Plan.
Each of the documents and the reporting that accompanies them will present a true reflection of the work Council is currently doing within the community and priorities for future services and how we will go about assisting in meeting the Plan.
