Council Reserves

Council presently manages some 4000 hectares of natural bushland areas in Gosford.  The major mountain top bush reserves are Rumbalara Reserve, Katandra Reserve and Kincumba Mountain Reserve.

Walking trails and fire trails are maintained in these reserves.  Visitor facilities such as picnic areas and lookouts are provided.  The activities of numerous bush care groups working in other natural areas reserves are supported by Council.

Beaches

Council is also responsible for managing Gosford's beaches - maintaining public access, dune fencing and dune revegetation. A number of coast care groups are working with Council to care for areas of Gosford's coastline.
