From the producers of Punk Rock and References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot comes the touching and poignant tale of colliding generations in Amy Herzog’s multi award-winning play 4000 Miles.

Vera is a vibrantly dimensional 91-year-old – prickly, stubborn and mentally acute. Leo is her 21 year-old grandson who shows up in the middle of the night at her Greenwich Village apartment.

He’s just biked cross-country from Washington to New York. Along the way, something happened, a loss, and heartbreaking loss for which he cannot bring himself to accept.

Bridging gulfs of space and time, Vera and Leo connect over several weeks of co-habitation, negotiating romantic potholes with an estranged girlfriend and an art student Leo picks up at a bar.

Directed by Sydney Theatre Award Winner, Anthony Skuse.

"Beautifully rendered portrait …truthful and touching and fine” – New York Times.

“4000 Miles: The best play of the season. Hands down.” – TIME magazine.

“5 stars….fine, deeply affecting dual character study…rich, satisfying” – Timeout New York.

Occasional course language. Suitable for people aged 14 years and older.
