Water Quality 2010

Water Quality 2010 is Gosford City Council's multi-million dollar drinking water quality management program designed to protect, manage and maintain the quality of the region's drinking water supply.
The two-year program was launched in December 2007 predominantly to reduce the incidence of discoloured water throughout the Gosford City area and minimise the impact these events have on the community.
In September 2008, Council welcomed the Federal Government's official announcement of a $4.5 million funding commitment in support of the capital works component of the program.
A specialist project team is working to implement the 5-point plan that comprises capital works, maintenance activities, enhancements to system management and operation, monitoring and analysis programs, and a communications strategy.
The extensive program incorporates a range of works that begin at the catchment and end at your tap to provide short and long-term protection from water quality issues. Details of these works are regularly updated on our Upcoming Water Supply Works Schedule.
