Rainwater Tanks

Rainwater tanks are a great way to help conserve the Central Coast's drinking water supply and can provide a valuable source of water for your home.

Rainwater Tank Rebate Programs

There are three different rainwater tank rebate programs for Central Coast residents, and one for Central Coast businesses connected to RWT Picture the town water supply.

Rebates for rainwater tanks are supplied by Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils, NSW Government and the Australian Government.

Central Coast residents may be eligible for up to $2000 in rebates for purchasing a new rainwater tank, while residents and businesses with existing tanks may be eligible for up to $500 for connecting their tanks internally.

Please note these rebates are for existing dwellings and not for rainwater tanks being installed and connected as a requirement for a new development.

Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils' Rainwater Tank Rebate Program

Gosford City Council currently offers a rebate up to $500 for connecting toilets and/or washing machines to existing rainwater tanks.

The rebate will only be paid for the internal connection of rainwater tanks purchased and installed between 1 January 2003 and 1 August 2009.
