Mardi-Mangrove Link

Linking Wyong River to Mangrove Creek Dam

The Mardi-Mangrove Link is a key element of WaterPlan 2050 which is the long-term water supply strategy for the Central Coast to help secure the region’s water supply over the next four decades.

The project is a joint initiative of Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils with Australian Government funding of $80.3 million from the Water Smart Program.

The Mardi-Mangrove Link is a significant water infrastructure project which will help deliver more water for the Central Coast community. It involves building a 19km  underground pipeline through Yarramalong Valley and a new pump station at Mardi Dam.

This will enable more water to be pumped from Wyong River and Ourimbah Creek catchments during higher flows with excess water not needed to meet daily demand being pumped up to Mangrove Creek Dam via Mardi Dam.

Read more about the Mardi-Mangrove Link project on the Gosford/Wyong Council's Water Authority website.
