Water Quality 2010
Water Quality 2010 - drinking water quality management program.

Water Quality 2010 is Gosford City Council's multi-million dollar drinking water quality management program designed to protect, manage and maintain the quality of the region's drinking water supply.
It aims to reduce the incidence of discoloured water throughout the Gosford City area and minimise the impact these events have on the community.
A specialist project team is working to implement the 5-point plan that comprises of capital works, maintenance activities, monitoring and analysis programs, enhancements to system management and operation, and a communications information strategy.
In October 2007, the Federal Government announced a $4.5 million funding commitment in support of the program. Council is currently seeking confirmation of this.
Council's Water Quality 2010 brochure (PDF File, 959kb) provides more information on this important water quality project.
As part of Water Quality 2010, Council is undertaking a Discoloured Water Investigation where interested members of the community can assist us in understanding and addressing discoloured water issues.
